I made this recording by using a metal shovel and ramming it into the icy snow. The snow has been around for a couple months now and has been rained on and turned to tiny ice crystals. It sounds like it could be sand, grainy dirt or rock dust.

Driving about 25mph with snow tires on a dry road. Interior sound of a car. No credit necessary, but as always, it is greatly appreciated.

A recording of wind and rain at an old window. The wind is gusty and is whistling through the gaps. Could create a a great creepy background atmosphere.

Generated 10 minutes of white noise, applied some eq and what i may call stereo expansion, and got this thing that should be good enough to be used as an ambient sound for cold weather or polar wind. Many of the sounds i have found here and elsewhere, have other noises and/or were created through other methods like blowing.

A stark recording of a bunch of northwest winds whipping through a small town. This was recorded in december 17th 2013 during the height of the frenzy of the holiday season. I think that it why i enjoy this recording so much -- the lonely yet comforting desolate wind in contrast to the frenetic sensory overload that the holidays can sometimes be. Me walking from the trail into the fiesch ski resort in the swiss alps. Starts calm with footsteps on snow and then when i walk into the the ski resort you hear voices in multiple languages, ski and snowboard noises and mechanical noises from the ski lifts.

Late winter snow storm last night in the detroit area 3-3-23 around 9pm est. Was attempting to record thundersnow but by the time i found my batteries the thunder and lightning stopped. Threw my zoom h1n under a plastic cloths basket just incase the thunder started back up, but no luck. This is a short clip of the original hour long recording. You'll hear, sleet, snow & wind.

I have been fighting a cough while recording foley this week. This cough was recorded unintentionally and was completely natural.

Ambience recording at the first base camp on chimborazo volcano. The mountain was relatively quiet and there wasn't much wind. This was taken on a cold overcast day on the mountain side.
